Step 4: Crafting the Design

Developing the selected concept into a complete, polished, and cohesive design.

Crafting the Design is where the chosen concept becomes a fully realised piece. This stage is detailed, focused, and intentional — every element is shaped with care. Typography is refined for clarity and hierarchy, colours are balanced for tone and consistency, and layouts are adjusted for flow, readability, and visual impact.

This is where my self‑taught craft shows most. I pay attention to the small details: spacing, alignment, rhythm, and the subtle decisions that make a design feel complete. The work becomes more structured, more cohesive, and more expressive of the project’s identity.

Feedback is integrated thoughtfully, strengthening the design and ensuring it aligns with your expectations. By the end of this stage, the project has a polished visual identity or deliverable that feels intentional, refined, and ready for final preparation.
